Extensive experience to produce the highest level satisfaction for the homeowner
The Kirsten Team uses extensive design-build experience to integrate architectural, construction and interior design to produce the highest level of satisfaction for the Homeowner.
Richard Kirsten, President, has been in engineering and construction business for over 35 years in Houston. In 1999, he retired from MW Kellogg where he was an Engineer and Project Manager in petrochemical design and construction. This background brings a skill-set in planning, design and project management that he has successfully applied to building fine custom homes.
Home Building
Richard began building homes in 2000. He grew up in a “builder family” with grandfathers and uncles who took great pride in their home building. He likes the mix of creative design, applied engineering and working with the skilled building trades to produce a unique home. Through the Custom Builders Council, Greater Houston Builder Association, he meets regularly with other top builders and keeps up with the latest building techniques and materials. He has built in Bellaire, West University, Braeswood Place and Memorial. Kirsten Homes is passionate about design excellence, attention to detail and a professional approach to building.
Community Involvement
He and his wife Beth have participated in improvement of the Braeswood Place neighborhood schools and in the birth of the Stella Link Redevelopment Project. The Stella Link Redevelopment Association was born out of a core group of dedicated neighbors who were willing to invest time and money in partnerships to remove rundown apartments that threatened the community with drugs and crime. He wanted our neighborhood to have a good environment and quality, neighborhood schools. This effort has resulted in attracting positive community organizations such as Sheltering Arms, a new city library, a new YMCA and new elementary and middle schools. Today, there are sports fields, a large park and an active neighborhood association. |
